Ten Pilgrims Killed As Bus Falls Into Gorge After Terrorist Attack In J&K's Reasi: PM Modi Takes Stock Of Situation, Assures All Help

At least ten pilgrims were killed and over 30 were injured in a terror attack on a bus in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday (9 June).
Terrorists fired on a bus carrying the Hindu pilgrims near Teryath village in J&K's Reasi district, following which the bus fell into a gorge.
The bus was returning from Shiv Khori cave shrine to Katra, a town known for the Vaishno Devi temple. It was travelling on a link road of NH144A, winding through thick forests and mountainous terrain.
“Prima facie, it appears terrorists were waiting for the bus,” Reasi SSP Mohita Sharma said.
“The driver was hit by gunfire and lost control of the vehicle,” the officer said, noting that bullet shells were found at the scene.
The injured have been taken to hospitals in Teryath, Reasi, and Jammu.
The security forces have launched a joint operation to hunt down the terrorists.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who took oath on Sunday, has talked to J&K Lieutenant General (LG) Manoj Sinha to take stock of the situation.
PM Modi has also instructed LG Sinha to constantly monitor the situation.
"PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji took stock of the situation and has asked me to constantly monitor the situation. All those behind this heinous act will be punished soon. Hon'ble PM has also directed that all the injured are provided the best possible medical care & assistance," LG Sinha said in a post on X.
