Trinamool Congress, led by Mamata Banerjee revealed its election manifesto on Wednesday (17 April), just two days ahead of the commencement of the electoral process in Coochbehar, Alipurduar, and Jalpaiguri.

The manifesto lays out a range of promises, including Mamata Banerjee's promise to refrain from implementing the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA), National Register of Citizens (NRC), and Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in West Bengal.

The manifesto carries a range of promises aimed at addressing various societal and economic challenges.

Prominent among these commitments is the assurance of providing 100 days of guaranteed work to all job card holders, coupled with a minimum wage of Rs 400 per day for all workers.

Furthermore, the manifesto pledges to offer ten LPG cylinders free of cost per year to every Below Poverty Line (BPL) family.

Trinamool Congress also promises to legally guarantee a Minimum Support Price (MSP) for agricultural produce, in line with the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission.

The MSP will be set at a minimum of 50 per cent higher than the average cost of production for all crops.

Additionally, the manifesto vows to triple the number of higher education scholarships for Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) students.

The Manifesto also pledges to increase the Old Age Pension for individuals aged 60 and above to Rs 1,000 per month (Rs 12,000 annually).
