The Bharatiya Janata Party in Uttarakhand has reportedly responded to a disturbance emerging between two senior leaders. Reports point that the party has advised Harak Singh Rawat, who is the environment minister, to exercise restraint in giving controversial statements in public.

Party spokesperson Shadab Shams has been quoted as saying that the BJP is not Congress or any other party where leaders can say anything in public.

He added that the party high command has taken note of the incident where Harak Singh Rawat has made statements on former chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and is aware of the happenings.

Reports say that state head of BJP Madan Kaushik has informed Harak Singh Rawat about the central command of the BJP noticing the incident.
The matter is related to Harak Singh Rawat giving a statement, reportedly, to a media outlet on former chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat.

Harak Singh Rawat, report on the ABP website says, has said that it was due to a note from him to former chief minister and senior leader of Congress, Harish Rawat, that Trivendra Singh Rawat was "saved from going to jail" in relation with the Dhaincha seed controversy.

Trivendra Singh Rawat has responded to Harak Singh Rawat statement on him, but in an indirect manner.

Harak Singh Rawat was in the Congress earlier. He is also in news regarding a matter relating to a local MLA from the BJP, Umesh Sharma Kau and a group of BJP workers who had a tiff with him at a local event.

Harak Singh Rawat has reportedly come out in support of Kau and said that people like him and Kau are no more outsiders in the BJP.

Harak Singh Rawat also added that some people in the party are spreading rumours that he and Kau are joining other parties ahead of the 2022 assembly polls.
