The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned the sons of Rajasthan Congress president, Govind Singh Dotasra, in connection with money laundering charges related to the alleged leak of exam papers last year for the recruitment of government school teachers, NDTV reported.

The money laundering case is based on first information reports (FIRs) filed by the Rajasthan Police against several individuals. This ED action is expected to generate controversy in the Congress-ruled state, which is set to hold assembly elections later this month.

Opposition parties and leaders, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is also facing ED questioning in a liquor policy case, have alleged that the Modi government is misusing central agencies to target the Opposition.

The ED had initially conducted raids at multiple locations in Rajasthan as part of the investigation into the exam paper leak in June of this year. Following a series of searches on 15 October, the probe agency reported the seizure of Rs 12 lakh in cash and "incriminating" documents.

The premises of those searched included Congress leader Dinesh Khodania, Rashtriya Loktantrik Party leader Spurdha Chaudhary, Ashok Kumar Jain, Suresh Dhaka, and others.
