Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) leader Nitish Kumar on Wednesday (6 December) broke his silence on the now-postponed INDI Alliance meeting and expressed his commitment to work for it.

Talking to reporters, he said, "I want that work should progress speedily. It was being said in the news that I was not going to attend the meeting. This is rubbish. I was down with a fever. But I was sending a JD(U) representative and Tejashwi Yadav was also supposed to go."

"I have been trying for quite some time but when elections happened in this duration, all parties began to fight on their own, that's a different thing. I don't want anything for myself, but want what is in the interest of the state and country," Kumar added.
