Days after apologising to actor Trisha Krishnan for his misogynistic remarks, Mansoor Ali Khan now announces his intention to sue her. In an interview with CNN News18, Mansoor stated that he plans to file a defamation case against the actor and will initiate the legal action later on Tuesday (28 November).

Mansoor declared, "We are filing the defamation case today. We have prepared all the necessary documents, and my lawyer will provide further information at 4 o'clock today when he meets the press." Regarding his previous apology, Mansoor dismissed it as the "biggest joke."

Recently, Mansoor had publicly apologised to Trisha, stating, "My co-actress Trisha, forgive me. Let God bless me by having me during your wedding." In response, Trisha acknowledged the apology on her social media handle, expressing the sentiment that to err is human and to forgive is divine.

The National Commission for Women took suo motu cognizance of the matter, directing the Tamil Nadu police to register a case against the actor. Mansoor, in response to the summons, cited a throat infection and requested more time. He is booked under Sections 354 A (sexual harassment) and 509 (word, gesture, or act intended to outrage the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code.

The conflict between Trisha and Mansoor started when Mansoor made disrespectful comments about Trisha in a video. Trisha strongly condemned his remarks, calling them sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive, and in bad taste. She vowed not to share screen space with him in the future, asserting that people like him bring a bad name to mankind.

Trisha and Mansoor Ali Khan were both part of the film "Leo." Talking about the film, Mansoor had expressed disappointment over lack of "bedroom scenes" that sparked the row.
