While recalling his journey since 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he will again share the country's achievements, accomplishments and successes from Red Fort next year.

"In 2014, I promised that I will bring change. My 140 crore family members (Indians) trusted me and I tried to fulfill my promise. After five years, that promise turned into trust because I implemented reform, perform, transform," the PM stated.

"I keep the nation first. In 2019, on the basis of performance, you all blessed me again. The coming five years will witness unprecedented development needed for a developed India by 2047," Modi stressed.

"I live for you, dream for you, sweat for you. Not because you have given me the responsibility but because you are my family member. I can't see your dreams falling apart," the PM appealed to voters for giving him a chance again to fulfill their dreams.

At the end of the speech, he recited this poem as we are in the first year of our Amrit Kaal-

Sabke sapne apne sapne, panpe sapne saare

Dheer chale, veer chale, chale yuva hamare

Niti sahi, rity nayi, gati sahi, raah nayi

Chuno chunauti seena taan, jag me badhao desh ka maan

Modi concluded his speech by remembering those freedom fighters who died for the nation. "We can't die for the nation. But we have got the opportunity of living for the nation like never before," the PM said.
