If elected in the upcoming 30 November assembly polls, the Telangana Congress has pledged to raise the budget for minority welfare by up to Rs 4,000 crore per year. Additionally, they have promised to conduct a caste census within six months of assuming power.

The "Minority Declaration," which was published on Thursday (9 November), aims to guarantee equitable reservation opportunities for all backward classes, including minorities, in areas such as employment, education, and government programs.

Furthermore, the Congress has pledged to allocate Rs 1,000 crore annually to offer subsidised loans to unemployed minority youth and women.

The Abdul Kalam Taufa-e-Taleem Scheme aims to offer financial support to minority youths who have completed M.Phil and Ph.D programs. The scheme promises to provide Rs 5 lakh to Muslim, Christian, Sikh, and other minority students as a form of assistance.

The Declaration stated that priests of all religions, including Imams, Muezzins, Khadims, Pastors, and Granthis, would receive a monthly honorarium ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000.

According to NDTV, the party pledged to create the "Telangana Sikh Minority Finance Corporation" and also committed to conducting special hiring to fill positions for Urdu medium teachers.

Houseless minority communities will receive both sites and Rs 5 lakh to assist in the construction of their own homes. Newly married couples from minority communities will receive Rs 1.6 lakh, as stated in the Declaration.
