Narendra Modi at COP28
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at COP28 in Dubai, UAE on Friday (1 December), highlighted India's efforts to prevent climate change and proposed to host COP33 in India.
Modi said that we should create a "pro-planet, pro-active and positive initiative" for carbon sink as we don't have much time to correct mistakes of the last century. He called UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed his "brother".
"Every country should complete its committed climate target and all countries should work with unity", he said emphasising the need for technology transfer and empowering clean energy supply chain.
