A delegation of foreign diplomats, consisting of three members, will be visiting Indore on 14-15 November. The purpose of their visit is to gain first-hand insight into the BJP's election campaign. The announcement was made by the party on Monday (13 November).
Michael Rees, a second secretary in the Australian high commission, Bazil M Lyakinana, a minister plenipotentiary (consular affairs) in the high commission of Tanzania, and Mayumi Tsubakimoto, a second secretary in the Japanese embassy, will be part of the delegation.
The city of Indore in Madhya Pradesh is currently experiencing a lively campaign as the assembly polls scheduled for 17 November draw near.
During the assembly polls in November and December 2022, the BJP stated that representatives from diplomatic missions of Nepal, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, and Singapore visited Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat to observe the party's election campaign, similar to previous delegations.
The "Know BJP" initiative, launched by the party's national president JP Nadda on its 43rd foundation day, includes this programme.
