Shaheen-III
Pakistan has tested its Shaheen-III nuclear-capable ballistic missile, which has a range of 2,750 kilometres, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the propaganda arm of the Pakistan military, has said.
"The test flight was aimed at revalidating various design and technical parameters of the weapon system," ISPR said.
Pakistan claims that the missile's long range makes it capable of reaching the farthest point in India's northeastern states and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the eastern Indian Ocean.
However, the other two missiles in the Shaheen series -- Shaheen-I and Shahee-II -- are in service. While Shaheen-I has a range of 900 km, Shaheen-II can carry warheads up to a range of 1500 km.
Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
