Wilful Disinformation: Canada's Pro-Khalistan Politician Jagmeet Singh Called Out For Implying RSS Involvement In 1984 Anti-Sikh Riots

Leader of Canada's New Democratic Party, Jagmeet Singh wrote a post on X remembering the 1984 Sikh riots. Calling it a "Sikh genocide", he mentioned that "thousands of Sikhs were killed in a pre-meditated, state-led campaign."

Interestingly, while he himself acknowledged that anti-Sikh riots were a "state-led campaign" as Congress was in power at that time, he "called for the RSS and its Canadian affiliates to be banned in Canada" which has no link to the Sikh riots.

Member of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister of India, Sanjeev Sanyal called him out and said, "This is wilful disinformation. I cannot believe that he is this ignorant of 1984 riots."

Jagmeet Singh also mentioned in his post that the allegations of involvement of "agents of the government of India in the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar" reopens the wounds of anti-Sikh riots.

Notably, Nijjar was a Khalistani terrorist and was wanted by India's NIA and Punjab police due to his involvement in multiple terrorist activities.

However, this coming from Jagmeet Singh is not shocking because he himself is a pro-Khalistan politician and is known to pressurise PM Justin Trudeau to give a free pass to Khalistani activities in Canada.
