Some time back, my colleague Aravindan Neelakandan, had embarked on a project to research and write on the names of the Goddess as mentioned in the Sri Lalitha Sahasranama. And he's resuming the series from today again.
As we step into the nine glorious days of Navratri, our executive editor Arush will be sending you a sharp summary of select explanations of the devi's names - one every day, starting today.

Kaameshwara-mukhaaloka-kalpita-ShreeGaneshwara: Shri Ganeshwara was formed by her glances at Kaameshwara (Shiva). This is the 77th name of the Goddess in the Sri Lalitha Sahasranama
The battle within: The battle between good and evil rages inside all humans.
Who is to say that the Inside is less real than observable Outside?
In this battle, when the Seeker is surrounded by Asuric forces, by forces which take him or her away from the Devi and towards all things weak, the Seeker turns towards the Devi.
The emergence of Ganesha: Once he surrenders himself to the Goddess, the seeker becomes a soldier of the Devi herself. A force of her force.
To this soldier’s aid, the Devi sends Ganesha, the destroyer of all negative forces, the remover of all obstacles between the Seeker and the realisation of the Devi.
With Ganesha himself fighting for the Seeker, victory is now assured.
Ganesha emerges from the Devi’s glance at Shiva: In the context of the 77th name in the Sri Lalitha Sahasranama, this what the Brahmanda Purana says about the emergence of Ganesha:
Ganesha is thus the combination of both Shiva and Shakti manifesting in the inner battlefield for the sake of the Seeker.
The term 'mukhaaloka' here signifies that even the impersonal Siva makes himself perceptual when it comes to the Devi.
Meaning behind the meaning: The Goddess, through Her loving, non-dual vision summons Ganesha.
Ganesha fights your spiritual battle and also the battle of life.
