Dear reader, how was your day today?
Today marks a very special day for all of us at Swarajya. It is exactly nine years back, on a fine Thursday morning in 2014, Swarajya 2.0 came into being.
Close to 3500 days, we’ve not rested. On any given day, we strive to deliver high quality articles with expert insights and views. Right from 7AM in the morning to 10PM late night we operate to ensure you, the reader, get to see what is just right.
And today is no different, for that matter. New day, same hustle.
However, this is rather a moment to look at what's in store, let’s say, for the next 10 years. Especially, bearing in mind, the challenges of this new decade we’ve stepped into.
We’ve set out to do what many would call outlandish.
Here’s an example: speaking up for India's incredible art-architectural heritage is something that is very close to the heart of everyone at Swarajya. We're extremely and equally stoked to be doing sharp pieces, long form articles, pointing out the incredible opportunities that our heritage offers.
While celebrating heritage, we've also been keen to aggressively highlight some of the problems that prevent an active ecosystem of producers and custodians of art to develop in India. We've pointed out the absolute lack of interest by governments to professionally preserve and promote archaeological sites. We're also keen that governments quit controlling and administering India's greatest storehouses of cultural practices, architectural wonders and places of worship - our temples.
This is just one example, dear reader. So while we’re at it, the plan is to make the most of this moment. Here's to what's to come!
Thanks a lot,
Raghu and the team at Swarajya
