๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Why Chhindwara Is Getting Out Of Kamal Nath's Hand

๐ŸŽ™๏ธ On WTM Podcast โ€” MP's Hot Seat Chhindwara

EP59: 2024 โ€” BJP Challenges Congress' Chhindwara Legacy

๐Ÿ™ Namaste Listeners,

Madhya Pradesh's Chhindwara Lok Sabha seat has been a Congress stronghold for the past four decades. Even during the 2023 assembly elections, all 7 out of 7 assembly seats under the Chindwara parliamentary constituency went to the Congress.

However, this time, the BJP looks strong here.

The narrative on the ground in Chhindwara is already one of "Family Loyalty" for the Nath family versus "One Of Us" for the BJP's candidate, Vivek 'Bunty' Sahu.

"Bunty Bhaiya does not fly in a helicopter. He lives in Chhindwara city, and most of us know where and when to meet him if problems persist. He is a grounded man, one of us, not an outsider who has come to rule us for decades," locals in Chhindwara tell Swarajya.

Although it is one of the toughest seats for the BJP to win in MP, 'it is not impossible,' given the current situation on the ground. Sharan Setty, who spent a few days in Chhindwara, shares all this and more in this episode of What This Means.

This short conversation includes interesting insights from the ground:

  • The campaign scenes in Chhindwara

  • Pros and cons of BJP's Vivek Bunty Sahu and Congress' Nakul Nath

  • How the people of Chhindwara vote

  • Major issues facing the region
