The Right People – Episode 12: Kiran Kumar Karlapu

In the twelfth episode of The Right People, CRI editor Jaideep Prabhu talks to Kiran Kumar Karlapu.
Kiran Kumar Karlapu is a Customs officer of the IRS at Bombay Airport. Hailing from Andhra Pradesh, he was raised in a very traditional family, enjoying Telugu literature and Indian history. Kiran is a doctor by training, but quit medicine to join the Indian Civil Service, his inevitable calling, he feels, because he comes from a long line of sarkari officers – he is the fourth generation of babus in his family! He loves to travel, and like all good people, loves Bombay!
