AAP Plans Nationwide Campaign Against PM Modi

Posters asking "Kya Bharat ke PM padhe-likhe hone chahiye?" (Should India's PM be educated?) surfaced in many states across India including in Delhi and AAP headquarters.

BJP claimed posters will boost Prime Minister Narendra Modi's popularity.

The BJP spokesperson, Harish Khurana, advised the AAP to avoid attacking the Prime Minister as it may increase his popularity. He stated that they have observed a surge in his support in the last few years due to such propaganda, cautioning Kejriwal to remember this.

According to the reports, arrests have been made in connection with the defacement of public property and pasting of posters without publisher names. Those allegedly associated with 'Modi Hatao, Desh Bachao' posters, including a driver and two printing press owners, have been detained.

Khurana cautioned AAP against insulting and demeaning a person, underscoring that the entire nation is watching and its citizens will respond fittingly, and that such behavior will not yield a single Lok Sabha seat for them.

The BJP criticised the AAP for their campaign against the Prime Minister on the day of Ram Navami festival. They called it undignified, accusing the party of disrespecting religious norms, nationalism and the PM's position.

More than hundred cases of defacing public property were reported with arrests made related to 'Modi Hatao, Desh Bachao' posters.
