PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday (21 May) alleged that BJP has hijacked the G20 event and replaced the logo of the event with lotus.
Mufti's statement came a day ahead of the G20 Tourism Working Group meeting, under the India's G20 Presidency, which is set to begin today (22 May) in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir.
The three-day meeting being held in the Srinagar from 22 to 24 May will see the participation of representatives of a majority of G20 countries.
Mufti also called for a SAARC summit to establish India's leadership in the region.
"It is the SAARC that will establish the leadership of our country within this region...why not have a SAARC summit and address our problem...," she added.
The G-20 event is the first international meeting being held in Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370 and bifurcation of the erstwhile state into two union territories -- Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh -- in August 2019.
