The Yogi Adityanath government has expanded the cabinet in Uttar
Pradesh ahead of the 2022 Assembly election.

Senior leader Jitin Prasada, who had made an exit from the Congress earlier this year, has been made part of the cabinet in the new change. Seven new ministers have been named in the change of cabinet, which Adityanath termed as reflecting “social balance”.

“Today’s expansion gives representation to all sections, has been done
with the feeling of social balance, and carries the message of
harmony,” Adityanath is quoted to have said.

The ministers are Jitin Prasada, Chhatrapal Gangwar, Sangita Balwant
Bind, Dharamveer Prajapati, Paltu Ram, Dinesh Khatik, and
Sanjeev Kumar Gond.

They represent the different sections of the society and are from different parts of the state. Prasada, when in Congress, had undertaken the Brahmin Chetna Yatra in Uttar Pradesh.

Adityanath has upped his moves as the assembly election moves closer.
Recently, he visited several constituencies in Western UP where he
initiated dialogues and projects.
