AAP MP Raghav Chadha
Raghav Chadha, an AAP MP, has been suspended from Rajya Sabha due to his "gross violation of rule, misconduct, defiant attitude, and contemptuous conduct."
This suspension is pending a report from the privileges committee.
The suspension of Chadha came after a motion was presented by Piyush Goyal, the Leader of the House.
Goyal sought action against Chadha for including the names of certain members of the Upper House in a proposed select committee for the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023, without their consent.
The motion to suspend Chadha was passed through a voice vote.
The period of suspension of Sanjay Singh, another AAP MP, was also extended till the privilege committee decides on complaints against him.
