Bada Mangal: Bajrang Dal Organises Recital Of Hanuman Chalisa In Various Cities

Amidst proposals to ban Bajrang Dal by the Congress manifesto for the upcoming Karnataka elections, Bajrang Dal and other have today organised a nationwide Hanuman Chalisa recital as a mark of protest.
Notably, Congress leaders in Karnataka, MP, Chhattisgarh, etc. stirred controversy after comparing Bajrang Dal to the banned terror outfit PFI.
The strong backlash led to the Congress leadership in the election-bound Karnataka clarifying that there was no such proposal of banning the organisation.
Bajrang Dal, the youth wing of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, possessing a strong nationwide presence, had announced yesterday of a nationwide recital of Hanuman Chalisa as the tussle between the group and Congress took a national political stage.
The organization will carry out a citywide bike rally in Bengaluru from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., post which they will hold recitals of Hanuman Chalisa in the city.
In Delhi’s Connaught Place Hanuman Mandir, youths of the organisation will gather to carry out recitals in the temple.
In over six places in Nagpur, and across the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra as well, the organisation will hold recitals of Hanuman Chalisa as a mark of protest of Congress’ anti-Bajrang Dal stance.
The organisation of the recital today coincides with the 'Bada Mangal’ festival which is held on all Tuesdays of the Hindu month of Jyestha.
Further, the mass recitals of Hanuman Chalisa would take place just ahead of the May 10 Assembly by polls in Uttar Pradesh in the Suar Assembly seat of Rampur and the Chhanbey seat in Mirzapur.
The second phase of polls in municipal elections in the State is also scheduled to be held on May 11.
Interestingly, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, during his Karnataka Assembly campaign, had touched upon the issue and described the issue of banning Bajrang Dal as the ‘mockery of the Hindu faith'.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also touched upon the issue, speaking of the anti-Bajrang Dal stance of the Congress as depicting them having issues with those keen on worshipping Lord Hanuman.
Karnataka elections are scheduled to happen tomorrow, 10 May.
