All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi.

Asaduddin Owaisi, the chief of All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), conveyed his belief that the partition of India, a pivotal historical event, was a lamentable and unnecessary rupture.

He expressed a profound conviction that India, historically embodying a unified entity, should have remained undivided.

During a press conference, the member of Lok Sabha from Hyderabad emphasised the irreversible nature of this division, referring to it as an error of great magnitude.

In advocating for a comprehensive understanding of this standpoint, Owaisi recommended delving into the pages of "India Wins Freedom," a literary work penned by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, a revered freedom fighter and the inaugural Minister of Education in India.

The book vividly recounts Azad's impassioned appeals to Congress leaders, beseeching them to reject the partition proposition.

It chronicles Azad's ardent plea to preserve the unity of the nation, shedding light on his resolute stance against a divided India.

Owaisi also alluded to the historical opposition by Islamic scholars of that era to the divisive concept of the two-nation theory.
