In the midst of indications that Rahul Gandhi might once again contest from the Wayanad constituency in Kerala for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, the former Congress chief expressed on Wednesday (29 November) that the southern state and the hilly constituency holds a special place in his heart.
With less than six months remaining until the scheduled Lok Sabha elections, Gandhi emphasised that visiting Kerala and Wayanad is not just a professional duty for him, as reported by Deccan Herald.
He stated, "For me, it feels like returning home and meeting family and friends every time I come to Kerala and Wayanad."
"The more I visit, the stronger the sense that this is where I belong," added the Congress MP from Wayanad.
These comments were made during the unveiling of a book dedicated to the late Muslim League Leader P Seethi Haji in the region.
