The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday (16 November) released its manifesto for the upcoming Rajasthan Assembly elections.

Releasing the manifesto, BJP Chief Jagat Prakash Nadda called it the development roadmap for the state.

The manifesto includes various promises for the welfare of women, farmers and the poor.

“This manifesto is not a mere formality for us, it is our roadmap for development. We deliver on our words, we will do what we have said, we will fulfill our promises,” Nadda said.

Nadda stated that the BJP would strengthen villages, support the poor, empower women, uplift farmers, engage youth, and ensure the welfare of scheduled castes and tribes.

Here are some of the major promises in the BJP manifesto for Rajasthan Assembly polls:

  1. Free education for girls from KG to PG.

  • Increase in the Matru Vandana amount, raising it from 4,000 to 8,000 rupees.

  • Establishment of Rajasthan Institutes of Technology and Medical Colleges in every division, following the model of AIIMS and IITs.

  • An SIT to investigate paper leaks.

  • Purchase of wheat at Rs 2,700 per quintal with additional bonuses for MSP.

  • Issuance of a Rs 2 lakh savings bond on the birth of a daughter.

  • Formulation of a compensation policy for farmers whose land was auctioned during the Congress government.

  • Setting up women's police stations in every district, women's desk in all police stations, and Anti-Romeo squads in major cities.

  • Providing skill training to over 6 lakh rural women under the Lakhpati Didi Yojana.

  • Offering LPG cylinders to women from economically weaker families at a subsidized rate of 450 rupees under the PM Ujjwala Yojana.

  • Granting an annual allowance of 1,200 rupees to financially disadvantaged students for uniforms and more.

  • Under the Lakhpati Didi Yojana, more than 6 lakh rural women will be provided with skill training.

  • Launching tourism skill development courses to train five lakh youths and create job and self-employment opportunities.

  • Providing jobs to 2.5 lakh unemployed individuals in the state in the next five years.

  • Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana to be launched to provide homes to poors in the state.

  • Pension for senior citizens and 'divyang' people to be increased to Rs 1,500 per month.

  • Farmer will get Rs 12,000 annually under PM-KISAN scheme.

  • Agri-infrastructure mission to be launched with Rs 20,000 crore investment.
