Telangana’s cabinet minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) has threatened of cutting power and water supplies to cantonment areas in the state, Hindustan Times reports.
The Chief Minister’s (CM) son accused the military forces of closing roads as per their wishes.
KTR was speaking on the implementation of the Strategic Nala Development Program in Hyderabad.
The minister alleged that a check dam set up by the defence forces on Balkapur Nala has caused inundation of the Nadeem Colony.
He expressed disappointment at the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) not permitting the government to carry out development work close to the Golconda Fort in the state.
“It is a really shocking comment that came from the Telangana municipal minister who is well educated. He does not even have respect for our forces. This really shows the Telangana government's stand on how they treat our Army,” BJP spokesperson NV Subhash was quoted by the aforementioned publication.
