West Bengal: BJP's Suvendu Adhikari Yet To Provide Evidence On Mamata Banerjee's Phone Call To Amit Shah Allegation

Suvendu Adhikari, West Bengal's Leader of Opposition, has delayed the submission of evidence supporting his allegations that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee contacted Amit Shah after the Trinamool Congress lost its national party status.
As per the report, Adhikari now plans to present the evidence on Friday (21 April).
“You will not be able to do anything to me. You have made tall claims about the phone calls ... Last evening, on behalf of your party, one of your workers on your orders sent this notice to me. I welcome it. I will answer tomorrow. I will share it with the media and post it from social media handles. You will receive the answers,” Adhikari said referring to CM Banerjee.
He made this comments while speaking to reporters at a press conference where he was expected to provide the evidence.

Following which, Banerjee stated that she would resign if it is proved that she contacted Union Home Minister Amit Shah after her party. She challenged Adhikari's claims and hinted at legal action.
"The person who says I have called him four times should atone by crawling with his nose on the ground because you have reported it. If I have done this, I am giving you my word, I will resign from the position of Chief Minister," Banerjee told the reporters.
TMC also announced in a tweet that it is taking Suvendu Adhikari and Amit Shah to court over the claims.
Adhikari, responding to Banerjee, said in a tweet on 19 April: 'For making the call to Delhi, you (Mamata) used a landline. I'd expose you in due time. Wait for my befitting reply tomorrow.'
Meanwhile, TMC National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee said: “He (Adhikari) must have made 1,000 accusations from these meetings, but he has not been able to prove even one of these allegations. Not one … The Chief Minister has said she will resign if you can prove your case. Who is stopping you?"
