Smriti Irani’s Speech In Lok Sabha
Smriti Irani, has asserted in Lok Sabha today that Manipur is an integral part of India and not divided.
During her speech, Smriti Irani further criticised Rahul Gandhi for his comments about Bharat Mata.
This sharp retort has come in apparent response to Rahul Gandhi's comment that "You have killed Bharat Mata in Manipur".
Rahul Gandhi had said earlier, “By killing the people of Manipur, you have murdered Bharat Mata. You are not patriots. You are traitors. You are not protectors of Bharat Mata, but her murderer.”
He added, "The Indian Army has the capability to restore peace in Manipur within one day, but the government has not utilised their services."
He further continued, "The fire you have ignited is causing suffering throughout the entire country."
She emphasised that the Congres party does not represent the entire nation and accuses them of defining corruption and incompetence in India.
She reminded the Congress party that Manipur is a part of India and urges them to recognize this fact.
