Recently, Punjab Police reported discovering a video of Anandpur Ki Fauj (AKF), a private militia associated with Amritpal Singh, undergoing weapons training.

The Punjab Police spokesperson stated that training was given in a riverine location, possibly near Amritpal's hometown, Jallupur Khera in Amritsar.

During a media briefing, IG Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh announced that Amritpal Singh, the prime suspect in the recent Tarn Taran grenade blast, was still at large.

Singh stated that Tejinder Singh, alias Gorkha Baba, a Khanna resident and Amritpal’s accomplice, had been arrested, and that police had found footage of firing from weapons on his phone.

Additionally, police had discovered an AKF logo and other sensitive videos that could not be shared at this time. He further revealed that Amritpal was suspected of preparing for something big, and that the police force, along with their counterparts, were on his trail.

Reports suggest that he was last seen in Kurukshetra. Out of the 207 people arrested thus far, only 30 were serious offenders, according to Singh. The rest were defined as misguided youth, who would be treated with compassion.

Singh stated that the police would neither indulge in witch-hunting nor make false implications, and that they had placed 177 of the 207 people arrested under simple preventive custody, pending release.

When asked about accountability for Amritpal's escape from Punjab Police, they stated that their current focus is on his arrest.

Despite police barricades and a large force, Amritpal escaped by changing his attire and using various vehicles, traveling on lesser busy paths or abandoned bridges.

According to a police officer, Amritpal left Nangal Ambian gurdwara in Jalandhar and traveled to Sheikhupura with his accomplice Babbal Preet on a motorcycle, where they crossed an abandoned railway bridge over Sutlej river.

They then arrived at Hardy's World in Ludhiana at 9:40pm and took a truck to cross over to Haryana. Finally, Amritpal hid in the house of Baljeet Kaur at Sidharth Colony in Shahabad, Kurukshetra.
