Two migrant labourers were injured in a terrorist attack on Tuesday (18 July) evening in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag.
The injured labourers were transferred to a hospital after terrorists fired upon them.
In response to the incident, the police have cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation to locate the attackers.
"Terrorists fired upon two outside labourers in Anantnag. Both the injured civilians have been shifted to hospital, where they are stated to be stable. Area being cordoned off for search operation," the J&K police said in a tweet.
The incident reportedly took place in the Lal Chowk area of Anantnag town.
According to the reports, the injured labourers have been identified as Akshay, 20, son of Kanta of Sangli, Maharashtra and Saurav, 20, son of Pradeep of Sangli, Maharashtra.
The latest attack comes fives days after a similar attack on migrant labourers in J&K's Shopia district.
In the previous incident, three laborers were shot at in the Shopian district of south Kashmir.
