Minor Hindu Boy Assaulted And Forced To Chant ‘Allahu Akbar’ And ‘Miyan Zindabad’ Slogans By Classmates; Video Goes Viral

In a shocking case of Islamic radicalisation, a minor Hindu boy in a Bihar village was beaten up by his Muslim classmates with demands to chant glory to the Muslim community and Islam.
The incident occurred last week in Nariar village of Motipur block of Muzaffarpur district.
The attackers recorded a video of the assault and posted it on their social media accounts, after which it went viral and triggered outrage from the wider Hindu community.
The video shows the attackers beating up the victim, who police say is minor, and demanding he say ‘Allahu Akbar” and “Miyan zindabad.” The term Miyan is widely used for members of the Muslim community.
The attackers, identified as Mohammed Mannu and Mohammed Sahil, also made the victim lick their spit and hurt abuses towards his Kurmi caste, which comes under the backward castes category in the state.
Following outrage, the Bihar police posted a statement on their X (formerly Twitter) account, saying a case had been filed against the attackers. The statement, however, did not reveal details of the action taken.
Lalan Kumar Yadav, mukhiya (head) of the gram panchayat under which the village falls, told Swarajya that Nariar is a small village with about 500 votes. Ninety-nine per cent of the village population is Kurmi, with just about 10 families belonging to the Muslim community, he said.
Declining to share the contact number of the victim’s father, saying that the family “is in trauma,” Yadav said that he is a poor man who rides an autorickshaw for a living.
Yadav said that even after a week, the area continues to have deployment of paramilitary forces to prevent any Hindu-Muslim clashes.
As per news reports, the victim was beaten up severely and was referred to a district hospital after preliminary treatment. The trigger for the assault was a spat during a game of cricket match between two sides, most of whom study in the same school.
Ironically, the incident took place a few days before the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) again released a statement regarding India, raising concerns over "religious freedoms" of and "targeted attacks" on its religious minorities, mainly Muslims and Christians.
India has strongly criticised the organisation in the past.
“In India, we see a concerning increase in anti-conversion laws, hate speech, demolitions of homes and places of worship for members of minority faith communities,” US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said.
