Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener Arvind Kejriwal received another summons from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for further questioning regarding the Delhi Excise Policy matter. He has been directed to appear before the agency on 21 December.

Notably, Kejriwal was earlier summoned in November but he did not appear before the ED and instead traveled to Singrauli in Madhya Pradesh for the party's election campaign with Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann.

He pointed out that simultaneous to the summons, in the afternoon of 30 October, BJP leaders started making statements that he would be summoned and arrested. With this anticipation of arrest, AAP also initiated a referendum whether Kejriwal should step down as CM if he is arrested.

Coincidentally, this campaign ends a day before the new date when the ED has summoned Kejriwal. "Mai Bhi Kejriwal" campaign was determined to run from 1 to 20 December.
