Tamil Nadu Minister Senthil Balaji Undergoes Tests In Omandurar Hospital, Advised Angiogram

Minister Senthil Balaji, who was admitted to the Omandurar Hospital last night (15 November), underwent medical tests today.

According to a report by the news agency PTI, the ECHO and ECG tests did not show any major variations. The report also quoted a doctor as saying that Balaji was advised to go for an angiogram.

Prior to being taken to the Omandurar Hospital, Balaji was taken to the Stanley Medical College Hospital from the Puzhal prison.

The reasons mentioned by Justice G Jayachandran for rejecting the bail plea were that his health condition was not such that it could not be treated by the doctors at the prison hospital, the attack on Income Tax officials who had come to carry out searches, the fact that he continues to remain a minister and his brother Ashok Kumar remains absconding.
