Senior DMK Leader A Raja (Facebook)
Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president K Annamalai today (12 September) shared a video clip of an online conversation in which senior Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MP A Raja spoke about caste.
In the clip, Raja could be heard saying, "India is the reason for the global disease in the name of caste dividing the people on the caste lines, dividing the people on the economic lines by using the caste. Caste cannot be used only for social evil, it depends on the economic evil also.
"Those who are living Indians in other countries, also propagating caste in the name of Hindu religion, so Hindu religion is a biggest menace not only to India, now it is a menace to the entire world."
Along with the video clip, Annamalai wrote, "DMK MP A Raja calls Hindu Religion a menace to India & the world.
DMK is the principal reason for creating caste divide & hatred in TN, and the DMK MP has the audacity to blame Sanatana Dharma for the mess they made."
This comes days after Raja had said that Udhayanidhi Stalin had been soft on Sanatana Dharma by comparing it to diseases like malaria and dengue while calling for its eradication.
He said that Sanatana Dharma should have been compared with diseases like HIV and leprosy which have social stigma.
