Th colossal Udayeshwar Mahadeva temple is a 11th century shrine built for Lord Shiva in the village of Udaypur under Tehsil Basoda, Madhya Pradesh. An outstanding example of Paramara art and architecture, it is also called the Neelkantheshwara Temple.

Built by King Udayaditya, brother of Paramara King Bhoja, the red sandstone structure is based on the sapta-yatana (five shrine complex) floor plan. The first rays of the sun fall on the entrance of the temple here and hence the name - Udayeshwar Mahadeva temple.
