US: President Biden's 'Disoriented' Appearance Raises Concerns During Veterans Day Ceremony, Lawmakers React

Several observers have recently noted that during the Veterans Day wreath-laying ceremony, US President Joe Biden required assistance from a member of the tomb’s honour guard to place a large floral arrangement on a stand.
After hesitating and making the sign of the cross, he appeared to be momentarily disoriented, taking steps away from the wreath before returning to his position beside Vice-President Kamala Harris.
New Jersey Representative Jeff Van Drew expressed his concern about Biden's apparent disorientation during the ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery.
Van Drew remarked that the president seemed unsure of his actions, highlighting the need for clarity and stability in leadership.
The New York Post quoted Rep Darrell Issa of California as saying that just when you thought it couldn't get worse, it does.
Staten Island's Representative, Nicole Malliotakis, expressed her sadness at witnessing President Biden's repeated displays of cognitive impairment.
During a campaign rally in Claremont, New Hampshire, former president Donald Trump took the opportunity to ridicule Biden for his frequent episodes of directional confusion. The event was held in a high school gymnasium.
According to the newspaper, Biden needed help from a member of the tomb's honour guard to place a big floral arrangement on a stand set on the plaza in front of the memorial that honours America's missing and unidentified war dead.
According to the New York Post, he took a step back from the wreath and paused briefly. Then, he proceeded to make the sign of the cross on himself.
He retreated, pivoted, and moved a few paces from the wreath. However, he quickly reversed his direction and approached the officer once more.
The military member gestured with a gloved hand towards Vice-President Harris, who stood a few feet away. President then returned to his position beside her, as reported by the New York Post.
