A hardcore BSP supporter on Thursday (18 April) chopped off his finger for mistakenly voting for the BJP in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, reports Hindustan Times.
The incident happened in Shikarpur area of Bulandshahr region during the second phase of Lok Sabha polling. BJP’s sitting Member of Parliament of Bulandshahr, Bhola Singh was contesting against the SP-BSP-RLD combine candidate Yogesh Verma.
The 25-year-old BSP supporter has been identified as Pawan Kumar and hails from the Abdullapur Hulasan village in Shikarpur area.
After mistakenly pressing BJP’s button on the EVM, an infuriated Pawan came back home and cut-off his finger with a chopper. Pawan even released a video and said that he is repenting for the ‘mistake’ he did. He was discharged from a local hospital after treatment.
