The owner of Delhi's famous Baba Ka Dhaba, 80-year-old Kanta Prasad has alleged that he has been constantly receiving death threats and that he is scared to go out of his house, reports India Today.
Prasad has also claimed that some miscreants have threatened to burn down his Dhaba. Citing the concerns, he has complained with the Malviya Nagar Police Station. His lawyer Prem Joshi has said that they suspect YouTuber Gaurav Wasan role behind the threats. However, he does not have any proof of this claim.
In November, a person, who identified himself as the brother of Gaurav (Wasan), came to me & threatened to hit me. On December 8, another person called me & threatened to set my eatery on fire. Wasan, whose video on social media gave Baba Ka Dhaba overnight fame, has refuted the allegations levelled against him and said that someone is misleading Prasad. "The police will now reveal the truth in this matter," he said.
It should be noted that in his complaint, Prasad alleged that due to this sudden fame, many people are now "jealous" of him. Prasad said that although he does not have any past rivalry, he, in the past few days, has received many threats on the phone and also near the Dhaba.
Earlier in November, Delhi Police had also lodged a case of cheating against Wasan based on a complaint by Kanta Prasad.
