The MEMU train was introduced at the beginning of the year, and was welcomed by the passengers. The train used to run four days a week (Wednesday to Saturday). However, from 27 July, the train will run with an inaugural special train, along with new timings.
The train would now depart from Bengaluru at 5.20 pm instead of 7.50 pm, to reach Mysore at 8.20 pm instead of 10 pm. Similarly, the train would depart Mysore at 8.30 pm instead of 11.05 pm to reach the state capital at 11.20 pm instead of 1.50 am.
The fare for per passenger from Bengaluru’s majestic station to Mysore is Rs 30, and the train will reach its destination in less than four hours with a top speed of 110 km/hr.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
