As India gets ready to welcome 2017 with celebrations, there is a strong reason for being vigilant and on guard in midst of it all. Reuters, Independent and other media publications report that the anti-terrorism department of Israel has issued a severe warning against travelling to India. Western tourists in India, according to all reports, are specifically at an immediate and severe risk.
The warning laid special emphasis on beach and club New Year parties, especially in the south-west region of India.
Reuters adds in its report:
Unusually, the warning was published on Friday evening in Israel, after the start of the Jewish Sabbath, when government offices close for business.
