Comedian Aditi Mittal who came into public limelight following AIB’s controversial 2015 ‘Roast’ has been accused of sexual harassment by a woman colleague Kaneez Surka.
In a tweet posted by Surka on Tuesday (10 October), she alleged that Mittal forcibly kissed her on stage during a comedy show at Mumbai’s Andheri two years ago.

Surka alleged that at an event attended by a large crowd which included participation by other comedians, Mittal walked on to the stage and forcefully kissed her on her mouth without her consent.
As a result, Surka claims that she ended up being “humiliated, shocked and completely stripped of choice”. She further wrote that about a year ago when she gathered the courage to reach out to Mittal, but the latter allegedly turned hostile leaving her “confused and hurt”.
Surka claims that she was emotionally triggered seeing Mittal become a champion of the cause, which appears to be in the context of the current #MeToo campaign.
As a result, she claims that she reached out to Mittal but despite earlier acknowledgement, the latter allegedly denied the charges. She as a result demanded that Mittal issue a public apology which would render the matter closed.
Incidentally, post Surka’s allegations, Mittal proceeded to retweet her tweet.
