In the Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh where four seats are up for contention, the BJP is all set to decimate the opposition, as the latest trends denote.
In Shimla, BJP’s Suresh Kashyap is ahead with 67 per cent of the vote share. In Mandi, BJP’s Ram Swaroop Sharma is leading with 68 per cent vote share. In Kangra, BJP’s Kishan Kapoor is leading with 72 per cent vote share, and in Hamirpur, BJP’s stalwart Anurag Singh Thakur is leading with more than 70 per cent vote share.
With the state government under the BJP regime, all exit polls showed BJP retaining its popularity in the state.
In 2014 too, the BJP had won four seats in the National elections.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
