One of the senior officials of Italian sports carmaker Lamborghini has said that the company is set to advantage from a V-shaped recovery in demand in the Indian economy and is thus anticipating a record year in the country in terms of sales.
It is looking to surpass its best-ever record of selling 52 units in 2019 and is also observing a growth of more than 20 per cent with respect to its business in 2021 as compared to that of 2019.
“What we are seeing is a strong V-shaped recovery, demand rebounding back to the pre-second (Covid) wave level,” Sharad Agarwal, Head of Lamborghini India, told the Press Trust of India (PTI).
Agarwal added, “We are also seeing that there is a strong confidence, which is also coming to the market driven by the strong vaccination drive.”
He revealed that the company already met and crossed the sales target that it had set for 2021 in the first half of the ongoing year itself.
The company, whose luxury cars are priced between Rs 3.15 crore and Rs 6.33 crore, is reportedly recording a 20 per cent growth in terms of both new order intake and customer delivery.

Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
