Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra on Sunday (22 November) said that he has asked cops to probe the Netflix series - A Suitable Boy amid row over it depicting kissing scenes at a Hindu temple, Press Trust of India has reported.

Mishra has said that he has directed cops to determine what actions can be taken against the producer and director of the series.

As per BJYM national secretary Gaurav Tiwari - who has filed a complaint in the matter at Rewa, the kissing scenes were filmed at a temple in Madhya Pradesh's Maheshwar.

Tiwari while tweeting about the same questioned as to why all the kissing scenes which involves characters of a Muslim boy and a Hindu girl were only shot in the temple.

This development comes amid intense outrage by social media users against Netflix and the makers of this series which many calling for a boycott of the OTT paltform.

In response the Madhya Pradesh Home Minster has said, "The series 'A Suitable Boy' was released on an OTT media platform. Kissing scenes were filmed inside a temple with bhajans being sung in the background. I consider it objectionable. I think this hurt feelings".
