National Geographic will be broadcasting a live show based on Indian Space Research (ISRO) Chandrayaan 2, uncovering the touchdown of its lander, reports Television Post. The show will give its viewers unprecedented access to India’s most ambitious space mission.
The live show is scheduled from September, around the same dates when Chandrayaan 2 would land on the moon. The show will slowly drum up excitement by giving viewers deeper insights into the historic moment.
According to the schedule, the ‘Baahubali’ Chandrayaan 2 is set to attempt to soft-land Vikram (lander) and Pragyan (rover) on the moon’s unexplored South Polar Region on 7 September. National Geographic will be sharing live updates from the ISRO’s command centre as soft landing is attempted.
The show is set to be an interplay of live coverage as well as pre-shot stories narrating the iconic nature of the mission. The show will also include interviews with experts of the field, surrounding India’s second mission to the moon.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
