Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi is set to make a worldwide address at the India Global Week 2020 which is being organised in the United Kingdom (UK) via video conferencing mode, reports Indian Express.
Touted to be one of the biggest international events on India's globalisation, the event will begin on Thursday (9 July) and will focus on India's trade, foreign investment prospects and manufacturing opportunities.
The three-day event will be held entirely in a virtual fashion, given the COVID-19 pandemic. It will witness union ministers for External Affairs S Jaishankar, Railways and Commerce and Trade Piyush Goyal, Civil Aviation and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri, Information Technology and Electronics Ravi Shankar Prasad, and Skill Development Mahendra Nath Pandey participate as speakers.
There will be a total of 75 sessions which will cover a wide array of themes, such as geopolitics, business, emerging technologies, banking and finance, pharma, defence and security, and arts and culture.
There will also be a series of country-specific sessions pertaining to India's ties with them. Such nations will include the United States (US), Australia, Singapore and Japan besides the UK.
