Two US congressmen Doug Collins and Matt Gaetz who have decided to place themselves in self-quarantine over Coronavirus fears had recently come in contact with US President Donald Trump, reports CNBC.
As per the report, the two Congressmen had been exposed to an individual at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Maryland in February, who has since then tested positive for Coronavirus.
Collins a Republican representative from Georgia had shaken hands with Trump on 6 March when the latter had travelled to Atlanta.
Gaetz on the other hand had flown on the Air Force One along with Trump from Orlando to Maryland. He was informed of his contact with the Coronavirus patient while airborne and subsequently sat alone in a section of the plane. He informed of his self-quarantine plans about 60 minutes after he landed in Maryland.
The White House in response to the concerns clarified that Trump has neither come under prolonged contact with a Coronavirus patient nor is he showing any symptoms. He has also not been tested for Coronavirus.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
