Watch: Bengaluru Gets Its War Room to Battle Coronavirus Within 24 Hours Of Announcement

A day after Karnataka CM B S Yediyurappa announced the setup of a 24x7 War room to monitor the spread and battling of Corona virus in the state, the Brihat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) today (23 March) inaugurated the BBMP War Room in the capital city.
Launched by Mayor Gautham Kumar, the Command and Control war room has been setup in just 24 hours and this video here gives a glimpse into the operations.
The war room provides real-time tracking of those in quarantine, details pertaining to availability of beds, patients, resource allocation and also houses helplines that will keep track of all contact tracing and community surveillance activities.
“Positive cases have been mapped zone-wise. The tech also helps map suspect cases along with closest hospital. Global #COVID19 trends can also be seen,” tweeted BBMP Commissioner B H Anil Kumar.
The BBMP along with health and police officers has also been visiting homes of all those who have been in home quaratine and stamping the back of their palms with quarantine seals that bear the date of the last day they are required to stay indoors.
