Prime Minister Narendra Modi while replying to the motion of thanks to President’s address in Lok Sabha on Thursday (6 February) mocked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his lathi jibe.
Rahul Gandhi while addressing a rally in Delhi had claimed that India’s youth is ready to attack Prime Minister Modi with lathis over the issue of unemployment. He also claimed that soon Prime Minister Modi will not be able to leave his house due to rising anger over this issue.
Today, Prime Minister Modi decided to respond to Rahul Gandhi in his characteristic style and cheekily replied that he has decided to increase his frequency of Surya Namaskars so that his back becomes stronger to bear the hit of so many sticks.
PM Modi in Lok Sabha: I heard a Congress leader say yesterday that youth will hit Modi with sticks in 6 months. I have decided that I will increase my frequency of 'Surya Namaskar' so that my back becomes so strong that it can bear the hit of so many sticks. pic.twitter.com/DvQ2HjXjvy

The Prime Minister did not stop here and when Rahul Gandhi attempted to interrupt his speech remarked that, while he has been speaking for around 30 to 40 minutes, it is only now that the current has reached there.
“Many such tube-lights are like this”, added Prime Minister Modi.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
