After Congress released a 'white paper' against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi, the latter is considering the former's removal from the opposition bloc INDI Alliance.

In a move against the Opposition solidarity before the Delhi elections, the AAP warned on Thursday (26 November) that it will consider discussing with other parties in the INDI Alliance about the possible expulsion of the Congress.

The AAP has expressed its dissatisfaction with comments made by Delhi Congress leaders, Ajay Maken included, that were directed at the party. During a press conference, AAP's Sanjay Singh urged Congress to take measures against Maken.

He declared that AAP would urge the INDI Alliance parties to exclude the Congress from their bloc if nothing is done against Maken. Earlier, there were media reports suggesting that the AAP was upset with the Congress for lodging a complaint against Arvind Kejriwal.

On Wednesday, the Delhi Congress unveiled a 12-point "white paper" aimed at the AAP and the BJP, accusing them of failing to fulfill promises and mismanaging a range of issues, including pollution, civic amenities, and law and order.

During a press conference, AICC treasurer Ajay Maken strongly criticised AAP national convenor Kejriwal. He accused Kejriwal's party of gaining power through the Jan Lokpal movement, but failing to establish the anti-corruption ombudsman as they had promised.

"If there is one word to describe former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal here then it would be Farziwal," Maken said while releasing the white paper titled "Mauka Mauka, Har Baar Dhoka".

"If anyone is the king of fraud in the entire country then it is Kejriwal and that is why we have come here with a white paper on the Kejriwal government and also on the BJP government at the Centre," he added.

On Thursday, Sanjay Singh, a leader of AAP, accused the Congress of "doing everything to assist the BJP in winning the Delhi elections". He further claimed that Ajay Maken is merely "reading from the BJP's script".

“Congress leader Ajay Maken called Arvind Kejriwal 'anti-national', party must take action against him in 24 hours. Congress's list of candidates for Delhi polls appears to be prepared by BJP; aimed at harming AAP,” Sanjay Singh said.

The recent political conflict originates from a notice issued by a department of the Delhi government against its own proposed scheme focused on women. This incident has provided the opposition with the means to criticise the AAP administration.

The Women and Child Development (WCD) department of the Delhi government has issued a statement to clarify the 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana', a scheme announced by the AAP prior to the 2025 assembly elections.

The department indicated that this scheme has not been officially recognised or notified. The Youth Congress lodged a complaint on Wednesday, triggered by the notices against the proposed Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana.

The Youth Congress has accused the AAP of making misleading and untruthful promises to secure the trust of voters. The allegation also includes charges against AAP leaders, such as MLAs and MCD councillors, of gathering confidential personal data like voter ID details and contact numbers via an online registration system that necessitates OTP verification.
