Saifullah Khalid, a top Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist and one of the key masterminds behind major terror attacks in India, has reportedly been killed in Pakistan's Sindh province, India Today reported, citing sources.

Khalid was reportedly attacked by unknown assailants.

He played a central role in planning three major terror attacks in India —the 2001 CRPF camp attack in Rampur, the 2005 Indian Science Congress assault in Bangalore, and the 2006 attack on the RSS headquarters in Nagpur.

Spanning five years, these attacks claimed several lives and marked a massive escalation in LeT's operations on Indian soil.

Using the pseudonym “Vinode Kumar,” Khalid lived in Nepal for several years under a forged identity, even marrying a local woman named Nagma Banu.

While in Nepal, Khalid reportedly continued coordinating LeT operations, quietly managing recruitment efforts and logistical support for the group.

In recent years, Khalid had shifted his base to Matli in the Badin district of Sindh province in Pakistan.

In Sindh, he continued working for Lashkar-e-Taiba and its front organisation Jamaat-ud-Dawa, primarily focusing on recruitment and fund collection for terror operations.
